Andhra CM Jagan reiterates commitment to farmers – The New Indian Express

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reiterated the government’s commitment to agriculture and agriculture and said that various initiatives have been taken to benefit farmers. Revolutionary measures have been taken for the welfare of farmers and programs like Rythu Bharosa, zero interest loans, YSR Bima, electronic culture and many more have been launched.

The chief minister said that Rs 18,777 crore was given to farmers under YSR Rythu Bharosa, Rs 1,674 crore under Sunna Vaddi Panta Runalu and Rs 3,788 crore under YSR Bima. The government provided Rs 1,070 crore as an input subsidy for crop losses.

Cabinet winks at invoices

The State Cabinet, which met here under the leadership of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, welcomed the introduction of various bills during the current session of the Assembly. The cabinet also welcomed the launch of the Vidya Deevena program on November 29.

He also welcomed the changes to be made to the relevant law for the cession of Sri Venkateswara Medical College to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The bills that would be introduced include changes to the AP Cinema Regulation Act, 1955, allowing the sale of movie tickets online, sources said. The other decisions include the allocation of 6.5 acres of land on lease to the religious organization Hare Krishna in Tadepalle.

Meanwhile, Koyye Moshen Raju was unanimously elected chairman of the PA Legislative Council. Chief Minister and Minister of Legislative Affairs Buggana Rajendranath escorted Raju to the President’s chair.
