Cengiz Ünder said he “looks forward to reflecting his passion” on the pitch and thanked Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers after his loan transfer to King Power Stadium on Sunday.

In a Twitter post published shortly after confirmation of his loan, Ünder spoke about his three years at AS Roma, as well as the new challenge he is set to face in his short but productive career.
The talented winger, 23, will spend the remainder of the 2020/21 season on loan at the Foxes, becoming only the third Turkish national to play for the Club, with legend Muzzy Izzet and his best friend Cağlar Söyüncü the two others.
Thanks to Brendan Rodgers, all staff and management for trusting me in this new chapter. I also thank my family and my agent who have always supported me.

The loan deal, which is subject to Premier League and international clearance, was confirmed on Sunday morning ahead of City’s first home game in 2020/21 – a clash with Burnley on Filbert Way.
