More and more tech companies are issuing COVID-19 vaccine warrants to comply with government guidelines. Adobe is one of the latest to demand that all employees in the United States be vaccinated against the virus. According to CNBC, the company told employees in an email that they had to get their shots before Dec. 8 if they didn’t want to be put on unpaid leave.

In the letter seen by the publication, the company explained that it is giving its staff until Dec. 8 to comply with the Biden administration’s decree. The president previously gave all federal contractors a Dec. 8 deadline to demand that all their employees be vaccinated against COVID-19. Adobe does a lot of business with the US government. Earlier this year, it partnered with government agencies in all 50 states to help them modernize their services with Adobe Experience Cloud and Adobe Document Cloud. He even launched the Government’s Rapid Response Program During the Pandemic to help ensure people can easily access government services, such as vaccine planning websites.

Adobe HR Director Gloria Chen wrote in the email that 93.5% of U.S. employees who responded to an internal survey were either fully vaccinated or receiving both vaccines. Despite the mandate, the company will consider religious and medical exemptions. The company’s decision echoes many others in the industry. Google began requiring all of its employees to be vaccinated against the virus in July. Meanwhile, Apple has yet to issue a warrant, but it will begin requiring unvaccinated employees to undergo daily rapid tests on November 1.
