New Delhi: India is currently facing the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, which is far more ruthless than the first. While Indians are already facing mental, physical or financial health issues, scammers are taking advantage of their plight with their questionable tactics which are hard to catch in the first place.

Even last year, many scammers dealt with the plight of many, sometimes in the name of help, sometimes in the name of treatment, and sometimes in the name of help. To prevent their customers from falling into the trap, three major banks in the country have issued alerts. The goal here is to educate their customers about the ways in which thugs can deceive them.

Here is what SBI, PNB and ICICI Bank share with their clients.

SBI: beware of QR code scams

State Bank of India, the largest bank in the country, has warned its customers that you should not scan the QR code at all if you receive money because when you scan the QR code you do not get the money. . For this, SBI has also published a video.

PNB: Don’t fall for fake calls or SMS

Likewise, the Punjab National Bank in the public sector has warned clients that if someone tries to call you or in any way mislead you, don’t fall for the trap. Do not get involved in any fake calls or texts. PNB has stated that scammers have every way to mislead you.

ICICI Bank: Share with more care

ICICI Bank has warned its customers not to share banking or financial information with anyone. ICICI Bank said its customers should always remember that bank employees do not ask for their account details by calling or texting. Only a fraudulent person tries to ask you for bank details over the phone or by sending an SMS or any link.
